A number of your SIM sessions will be Scenario Based Training (SBT), likened to those sessions used in Airline training. This means we fully utilise our SIM to teach you more than just how to fly an ILS or VOR approach.
The SIM sessions are "all encompassing". You will experience full radio phraseology from engine start to shut down, unexpected system failures, unexpected diversions and approaches, task and risk management programs within a scenario. In short, we promise to teach you more than just how to fly an Instrument Approach during your MECIR.
Facilities:
Our facilities are all airconditioned and include the latest in technology. All briefings are power point based and standardised throughout the school ensuring your theory knowledge is what you need to achieve quickly.
Our synthetic trainer (RAC-7000) is one of Australia's most advanced synthetic trainers. The RAC-7000 operates on 6 computers, has 5 external visual screens and three computer monitors.
The synthetic trainer has a fully functional and intergrated avionics panel including a functioning Garmin 430 GPS. A headset intercom allows us to simulate the complete radio phraseology of air traffic control.
