If you are looking for professional pilot training, whether for a career as an Airline Pilot or for fun as a recreational hobby, becoming a Member of the Redcliffe Aero Club will be one of the best choices you will make.
The Redcliffe Aero Club has been training both professional and recreational pilots for almost 40 years, helping people broaden their experiences and achieve a high level of personal satisfaction by making dreams and goals a reality.
Unlike most flying schools, our core instructional team are employed as full time professional Flight Instructors (i.e. they are not all casually employed), meaning your training team is consistent and regular. Our Instructors are highly experienced and motivated to help you quickly succeed. We also require our senior flight instructors to hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment.

To ensure you are comfortable for your flight tests, we have on staff, a CASA approved Testing Officer for flight tests up to the Commercial Pilot’s Licence (CPL). This means you will be assessed (for your licences) by someone familiar to you, in house.

Many of our former students and instructors are now flying for Qantas, Virgin, Cathay Pacific, Qantas Link, other major airlines, reflecting the standard of training they have received and the Redcliffe Aero Club’s highly regarded reputation within the industry.
Most importantly, at the Redcliffe Aero Club you will be treated as an individual student by instructors who genuinely CARE about the standard you achieve and not as a 'mass produced product'. We believe this is an important factor when choosing somewhere to fly. You will not only find our staff friendly and helpful, but you will also meet many members, all sharing the same common interest and passion for flying as you.
Call us or visit the Club today, to discuss your training goals and needs. Usually the FIRST STEP we suggest is taking a trial flight with one of our instructors, so that you may get a feel for what flying an aeroplane is all about.
