The Redcliffe Aerodrome is situated only 10 nautical miles to the north of the Brisbane
CBD (Queensland's Capital City) (only about a 30 minute drive north of the city)
and is adjacent to Redcliffe and Deception Bay - located close to the main Brisbane Control Zone, and Maroochydore
Control Zones.
Once airborne pilots are greeted with some truly magnificent scenery
- A picturesque panorama of Deception Bay, Moreton Island with it's stunning
sandy beaches,
Brisbane City, and the Glasshouse Mountains. A short distance away is the famous World Heritage
Fraser Island (complete with an airstrip), and to the south the internationally acclaimed Gold Coast with it's glorious
beaches and continuous night life. Also close by are Caboolture, Caloundra, Moreton Island (Tangalooma),
Kilcoy, Toowoomba, Kingaroy, Gympie, Maryborough and Havery Bay aerodromes.
The Redcliffe Aerodrome location provides an ideal circuit training area, coupled with general aircraft handling
training areas taking in the Deception Bay, Bribie Island and the Glass House Mountains areas. The Aerodrome is
