WINGS DINNER REPORT

2013




This years Wings Dinner was a great success and enjoyed by everyone. We had 115
Pilots, Families and Friends attend the evening, collecting their individual certificates of
achievement.

W There were a handful of special awards handed out as well. Congratulations to all the

N Our guest speaker was Ryan Campbell. Ryan is the youngest person to fly solo around

E the world in a single engine airplane and he achieved this at the age of 19.
Ryan spoke about his world record achievement for almost one hour and he held the
R audience’s attention from start to finish. Several people spoke to Ryan during and after

his presentation, he was a popular young man on the
night.

0 Rob Rey and myself showed Ryan around the Club
House on Saturday morning and
1 Michael Schell took Ryan up for a flight in the C310 to

3 show him our backyard.


Everyone at the RAC wish Ryan all the best for his
future in aviation.

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to attend this years Wings Dinner and to the
staff who helped in any way with preparations. Special thanks to Rob for being MC
with me again this year.
