RAC STAFF & COMMITTEE PRESIDENT’s REPORT

CHIEF PILOT/CFI
Brendan Power I am truly proud and honoured to be voted into the position of Club President
for 2015. The board of Directors are all very new to the Club and its activities at
CEO this level so we are all going through a very fast learning curve gaining valuable
Stephen White information on the running of the Club and ways that we can improve the Club
as we march into 2015 and beyond.

Grade 1 Instructors Several changes have been made in the first quarter of this year with the
Dan Smith introduction of Brendan Power, the Clubs new Chief Pilot and Head of
Michael Schell Operations, or in old terms, CFI. This is only one of many changes that have to
Jarrad Smith be made as the Club enters the new CASA Ruling system and Part 61.
Adrian Bartholomeusz
We have also introduced a new CEO in Stephen White. The Board of Directors
Grade 2 Instructor believe that these roles work much better as split roles. Both Brendan and
Joe Jenner (Casual) Stephen have been welcomed into the Club and you can learn more about
Tom Hayter (Casual) these people in their respective reports.

The Aviation industry, like all industries are going through a very quite time at
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION present. As we enter into the best time of the year for flying we are expecting
Joan McGufficke to get very busy as all types of flying start to become more popular.
Tania Dunlop
The Club is still in a holding pattern waiting for the final tick of approval from
the Government in gaining approval for the VET FEE Help scheme.
RAC BOARD 2015 Unfortunately we don’t know the exact timing for this to happen.

PRESIDENT On the social scene, the Club has held several social events in the first few
Mike Cahill months of this year, namely flyaways to Caloundra and Kingaroy and a special
ceremony held on ANZAC Day where we had our first Dawn Service followed by
VICE PRESIDENT a flyaway to Noosa and return before enjoying a BBQ breakfast. We also intend
Robert Rey On continuing with the night flying socials this winter. So if you are looking for
an excuse to fly on a social level with the Club there are plenty of opportunities.
TREASURER
Sam Keenan Hoping to catch up with everyone at the Club house.
