RAC STAFF & COMMITTEE
PRESIDENT’s REPORT
CHIEF PILOT/HoO
Brendan Power The last few months have been very challenging but rewarding. I have seen the
Club grow in strength and popularity which in itself is rewarding for the amount
CEO of effort put into the Club from all corners, including Instructors and RAC Staff
Stephen White and the Board of Directors.

The Club has purchased its second Cessna 310 because of the demand from
Grade 1 Instructors the charter sector. All other Club aircraft are earning their keep as expected.
Mal McAdam
Dan Smith As originally stated when the Club appointed the CP and Head of Operations
Michael Schell (CFI) and the CEO as split roles, that these positions were temporary to get the
Jarrad Smith Club through the transition period from its previous CEO/CP/CFI. Brendan
Adrian Bartholomeusz Power and Stephen White have done a fantastic job for the Club in both these
roles and they have been instrumental in implementing several new programs
Grade 2 Instructor to the benefit of the Club, students and members.
Joe Jenner
Tom Hayter However it is with regret that I inform you that Brendan has resigned from the
Club to fulfil his love and ambition in aviation and that is to continue flying his
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION favourite aircraft, the de Havilland Dash 8. Brendan has been asked to come
Mary Treglown back to Skytrans as a Brisbane based pilot after Skytrans won a tender to fly
some western routes out of Brisbane. I can only say to Brendan that on behalf
of the Club members and Staff of RAC we wish you all the very best in your
RAC BOARD 2015 new position at Skytrans. I would also say thanks for all your help and guidance
over the last few months.
PRESIDENT
Mike Cahill I would now like to introduce you to Brendan's replacement. Dan Smith has
been successful with his application as Chief Pilot and Head of Operations.
VICE PRESIDENT
Robert Rey The Board of Directors and the CEO have decided to introduce an Alternate
Chief Pilot and Head of Operations so that the Club would not be placed in a
TREASURER situation again that would see the club without a Chief Pilot and Head of
Sam Keenan Operations and therefore not be able to offer training or charter. I am glad to
announce that we have appointed Mal McAdam as the Alternate Chief Pilot and
SECRETARY Head of Operations. Dan and Mal have been recommended to CASA for these
Mark Roberts-Thompson positions and will both be the subject of a two day interview and flight test
qualification process. They will then have the same instruments of approval
BOARD MEMBERS from CASA and will provided the necessary insurance for the Club.
Bryan Galvin
Tom Hassall The CEO's position has been advertised as well and we will be holding
Margot Logan interviews with the candidates once we get the new CP/HoO settled in their
Ray Vuillermin new positions.

As our current CEO, Stephen White has been working tirelessly over the past
months and has done an enormous amount of work behind the scenes for the
good of the Club. There are plenty of projects to attend to and Stephen is
dedicated to completing these projects.
